APPELLATION: McGregor (in the Robertson Valley of South Africa.)
VINEYARD DETAIL: Ten-year-old vines grafted on Richter 110 and planted on rocky northwest facing Karoo-soil.  Extended 4-wire cordon trellised system.

VINIFICATION: At unloading the grapes where crushed before additions of tartaric acid and selected yeast for fermentation.  Regular pump-over for colour extraction during fermentation.  After malolactic fermentation a 14-month French oak barrel-maturation period follows, with 50% new barrels, where after the wine is racked and bottled.
