The red limestone along with the elevation of these grapes produce fresh, light red fruit notes like red cherry with a hint of minerality from the soil. This wine is produced from carefully hand selected grapes, meticulously grown by our finest producers. Very lightly wooded in 4th filled barrels. The Pinot Noir has a long lite finish with a round mouth feel.
This deeply colored Pinotage shows a high level of extract, with intense aromas of dark red fruits layered over subtle vanilla notes derived from maturation in American oak. On the palate, rich flavors of dried plum are complemented by spice and complexity from French oak integration. The structure is firm and full-bodied, supported by well-defined tannins that contribute to its impressive length and aging potential.
Aged in 60% American and 40% French oak barrels—80% of which were new-this wine is built for longevity. Best enjoyed after further cellaring to allow its bold structure and layered character to evolve fully.
